It is with sadness we share that due to the ongoing weather conditions and their impact on our waterways, we have to cancel our Thameside 1 race that was scheduled for Sunday, February 15th. Safety of all paddlers is the top priority and the current conditions do not allow for a safe race. Thameside 1 is the first of the two of Thameside races organised by Reading Canoe Club, part of the winter marathon series leading up to the Devizes-Westminster race. It starts in Aldermaston, goes over roughly 12 miles with 13 portages and finishes at the Reading Canoe Club on the Thames.
