We are located on the North bank of the River Thames in Caversham, just in the North of Reading. If approaching Caversham Bridge from the south, you will pass the turning to the station on the right, the post office sorting office again on the right, before coming to a roundabout. Forking left will take you straight up to the Holiday Inn roundabout. Turning left allows access to the promenade, where our larger races are held. To reach the club itself, head straight over the roundabout and over the bridge. Stick in the left hand lane and turn left at the end of the bridge, this road winds round to the right and up a hill, quickly turn left down into the Warren. You will find us just at the bend of the road.
Parking
Parking is very limited at Reading Canoe Club. Visitors are requested to park with real consideration for our neighbours. The road beyond the Club is narrow in places and leads to nearly 100 properties. It is important we maintain access for residents and emergency vehicles.
Please also keep gateways clear and do not park where red cones are placed.
There is limited parking on the hill between the churchyard and the Club’s main gate – just be aware this is rough ground with some tree stumps to be avoided.
Once this is full, please drop boats at the Club, turn around and park in Albert Road. as identified on the attached map.
